ENHANCING STUDENTS’ ENGLISH READING COMPREHENSION USING GRAMMAR INTERVENTION PBL AT MIDDLE SCHOOL

This research explores the implementation of grammar intervention problem-based learning(PBL). This research was conducted in Sichuan Province, China, taking 60 tenth-grade students as the sample from Jiangwai Middle School and an English teacher as a participant. Observation, questionnaires, and interviews were used for data collection. The data were analysed using Miles and Huberman’s(1984) four types of analytical activity and presented descriptively. The Informal Reading Inventory (IRI) shows that there was a significant improvement in student’s English reading comprehension after using grammar intervention in PBL pedagogy. The implementation strategy was discussed, and it can be used to enhance middle school students’ English reading comprehension.

THE MECHANISM EXPLORATION OF HIGH-ORDER LEARNING OF COLLEGE STUDENTS IN A MOOC-BASED BLENDED LEARNING CONTEXT

This paper is an empirical study of the theoretical exploration of mechanisms to promote students' 14 high-order learning in MOOC-based blended learning contexts. This paper identifies two core 15 components of high-order learning: reflective learning and integrative learning, explores the factors 16 influencing reflective learning and integrative learning among college students in MOOC-based 17 blended learning contexts, and conducts a social survey using a questionnaire. The main factors 18 influencing reflective and integrative learning were compiled through data analysis: self-efficacy, 19 course academic support, and faculty-student interaction support. When designing blended teaching 20 based on MOOC support, full consideration should be given to enhancing students' self-efficacy and 21 increasing the level of course academic support and faculty-student interaction support.

PARENTS’ SATISFACTION TOWARDS THE QUALITY OF THE MANAGEMENT OF CHILDCARE CENTRES

The service of the childcare centre is very important for guaranteeing quality and parent satisfaction. The management needs to improve services and quality. This research study aims to assess parents’ satisfaction towards childcare services management. The qualitative approach was used through observation and interviews. Five respondents were interviewed from 5 childcare centres in Kota Bharu, Malaysia. There is an interrelated between service quality and parent satisfaction associated with safety, parental involvement, childcare providers’ qualification, curriculum content, physical facilities and strategic location were discussed. The study results showed that parents are satisfied with adequate safety, active parental involvement, a qualified and certified childcare provider, and good curriculum content that must be implemented and followed. The implication of the study shows quality childcare contributes to children later learning success. Thus, the main objective is to evaluate parents’ satisfaction and childcare centre management towards safety standards and quality assurance.

FROM GRIT TO LIFE SATISFACTION OF COLLEGE STUDENTS: PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL AS A MEDIATOR

This present conceptual paper intends to explore and investigate college students’ life satisfaction in Ji’nan, China. College students’ life satisfaction has emerged as one of the most prominent indices relating to health, and it remains a severe challenge to be measured for educational organizations due to its subjective characteristics. However, it may be tested by its predictors. The prior literature about the relationship between grit, psychological capital, and college students’ life satisfaction has been reviewed, through which the inconsistency between grit and life satisfaction has been revealed. Therefore, this paper tries to explain the relationship between college students’ life satisfaction and grit by the mediating effect of psychological capital, which may be a new conceptual model seldom conducted in previous studies, especially in Ji’nan.

THE IMPACT OF EXERCISE ON ANXIETY AMONG BEIJING STUDENTS

This research examined how self-improvement and self-criticism relate to anxiety and participation in sports. The administered questionnaire package was finished by 100 Chinese university students aged 18 to 39. The results showed that participation in athletics had a significant negative relationship (r = -0.31, p 0.01) with anxiety, a significant positive relationship (r = 0.43, p 0.01) with self-enhancement, and a significant negative relationship (r = -0.14, p 0.05) with self-criticism. Furthermore, it was discovered that self-criticism (0.44, p0.01) and self-enhancement (0.21, p0.01) substantially predicted anxiety. The mediation model also confirmed the mediation of self-enhancement and self-criticism between exercise and anxiety in university students.

SELF-EFFICACY AS A MEDIATOR BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE STRUCTURE AND MUSIC STAGE PERFORMANCE OF MUSIC MAJOR STUDENTS: A PROPOSED MODEL

As an important part of music education, music stage performance has developed rapidly within the framework of modern university higher education. However, there are still many problems in the research and teaching practice. Music stage performance evaluation and related research did not consider students ' psychology, resulting in poor teaching effects. Most of the research objects of knowledge structure are teachers, ignoring the promotion of students ' knowledge structure to music stage performance. Besides, many existing studies focus on how music improves patients ' self-efficacy but ignore how self-efficacy improves music stage performance. Thus, this study aims to propose a model to explore the stage performance of music major students in universities and the covariates that can improve stage performance.
